Refund & Return Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Our refunds, returns and guarantees are governed by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under that law.
1. Consumer guarantees
Where our services are supplied to a consumer (as defined in the Australian Consumer Law), our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If a service fails to meet a guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy — which may include re-supply of the service or a refund, depending on whether the failure is major or minor.
2. Workmanship guarantee
We guarantee the workmanship of locks we fit and keys we cut. If a defect in our installation or key cutting causes a lock or key to fail within the guarantee period, we will re-perform the work or correct the defect at no charge.
3. Hardware
Hardware supplied by us may carry a separate manufacturer's warranty. We will pass on any manufacturer warranty that applies to products we supply. Hardware returns, where accepted, must be in unused, resalable condition unless the item is faulty.
4. Non-refundable services
Locksmith services that have been completed are not refundable simply because they are no longer required. Where a service has been performed correctly and to specification, charges remain payable. Call-out and attendance fees cover the cost of dispatch and on-site assessment and are not refundable where work was correctly quoted and declined.
5. Quoted work
Where we provide a fixed quote that you accept, we carry out the work to that quote. If circumstances on-site change the scope (for example, a lock is found to be damaged in a way not apparent before opening), we will advise you of any additional cost before proceeding.
6. How to request a remedy
To request a refund, return or re-performance of work, contact us at admin@absolutelocksmiths.com or on (07) 2114 6124 with your invoice details and a description of the issue. We will assess the matter and advise the appropriate remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is identified by the "Last updated" date above.
